Wow we went out for Sunday carvery for the first time at Stags Head. On arrival we got a warm welcome. Shown to our table. Not rushed to place our order. Two of us decided to go for the larger meal. We were very pleased with the meal. Everything was available on the menu. We even got table service for our drinks. Top marks. Throughout the meal then staff kept checking that everyone and the food was ok. We will certainly be returning. Unable to fault the food, service and atmosphere.

The best Sunday carvery we've ever had! Even though it was 4pm on Mothers Day, the food was all beautifully cooked, plentiful and authentically home made. Puddings were exceptional with delicious specials such as sherry trifle and pear crumble. Staff were warm and friendly and so was the room. Can't wait to return.

Met up with friends for an evening meal and wanted to go somewhere different for us. Really friendly staff and nice tasty meals. Pics show a Cottage Pie with liver and onions in the background then Apple & Rhubarb Crumble (specials board) I joked about extra custard and along came an extra jug of it! But it wasn't needed, as the crumble was floating in enough of a sea of it. Didn't waste it though LOL

There was a nice friendly atmosphere in the bar too.

Stopped here for something to eat after visiting the castle and having a nice walk around Lincoln. The member of staff who served us was fantastic great service and very friendly. The food was exceptional we both really enjoyed our meals I would certainly recommend a visit.

Great service had a recent funeral wake here. Lynsey and the team went above and beyond to make it a pleasant day food was lovely and all friendly.
